XOLO A500S microphone problem fix

XOLO has gained the attention of android lovers since it launched the first Intel atom based Android Smartphone in the Indian market. XOLO, unlike other Indo-chinese brands, has a unique and standard design along with amazing hardware specifications. 


XOLO A500S is an entry level Android Smartphone, which has a 1.2Gz Dual Core processor and mail 400 GPU backed by 500Mb of Ram. Despite its mind blowing hardware specification, XOLO A500S is found to have a common defect with its microphone. Here is a workaround to get the problem fixed.

                               

 

• Open the phone dialed and enter the following code.

• This will take you to the “SERVICE MODE” of the phone.
• From this menu swipe sideways till you find “Hardware Testing” screen
• From “Hardware Testing” select “Audio” and then go to “Normal Mode”
• This will lead you to the “Audio_ModeSettings”
• From here, tap on type field “Sip”, a drop-down menu will appear
• From the drop-down menu select “Mic”
• After selecting “Mic”, you will see a level field
• In the level field change all the levels (0-6) to 255
• Set this value and you are done.
Now reboot the device check if your microphone is working. This method will work in most of the cases as the mic wont me completely faulty. But if it completely faulty, you might have to take your phone to service center.
